The only interesting photos I have right now are of my travels so that is all that I am able to show right now, but I hope you all enjoy them. Anyways, this is a shot I got where the small hill and the sunset perfectly lined up and I got a really cool angle with the sun just above the hill and a reflection all along the lake. The colours of the sky were also very nice. This was taken on a canoe trip with Scouts at some point, I don’t remember much beyond that.
I have always loved photography, and the first time I discovered tilt-shift I did not believe that what I was seeing was actually real. I find tilt-shift really neat and I love how it plays with your perception of reality, for example, this shot is not new to this blog, I posted the original a few days ago, and now it looks like model of something. Everything looks miniature. I will leave the original below for comparison.
This is one of my favourite shots of the trip to my friend’s cottage in northern Ontario. It was a lot of fun canoeing around the lake and checking out what was supposed to be a waterfall but was in fact a rapid because the water was so high this year. We have gotten and are still getting record amounts of rain and it is putting a strain on our water ways.
The location of this photo is unknown to me. I cannot remember where I had taken it, but it is a nice shot. The sun is reflecting in the calm lake, the tree on the right takes some of the suns intensity away, and the hills in the background add to the horizon.
I had been on a five day canoe trip in Algonquin Park in Ontario and we stopped at Opalescent Lake for two days. The lake was considered the most beautiful lake in Canada, I can’t say I disagreed. The water was clear and calm and there were many beautiful views. This shot was taken early in the morning and there was still some water evaporating from the lake.
I took a trip to a cottage near North Bay, ON. This was the lake there during the day. I have other pictures but I thought I’d start with this one. It is almost calming.
